  SAD news about OOMPA......

  our friend, oompa, has passed away.

  just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

  it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

  does bethel have spies here that are exempt from the "no looking at apostate material" in order to "protect" the org?

  i.e.

  their job is to view apostate material so they can find out who they can send copyright infringement claims to?.

  wild turkey and his elder friend ( who is still in ) were talking about this last nite.

  seems like most of the pioneers we knew in our area were moochers(sp?

  ) they would go to any means to save a penny,.

  Let's see I almost always drove as a pioneer in a rural area. I paid when going out for myself..... but do have to say I always did the vacation by fellow JW"s thing.... I'm sure that got old.... I got a lot of freebees by felllow non pioneering JW's .... Then again I was a free babysiter...

  Creepy Facebook friend requests but no message or even just a hello

  does anyone else think its a bit rude and creepy for people from your way distant past or having only the tenuous of social connection with you to request being your friend on facebook but then totally ignore you, not even say a simple hello?.

  this annoys me and i have a policy of deleting them after a month if they don't make communicative contact because by not even sending a message to say "hi, how are ya after all these years" they are not being friendly just apparently nosey bastards who wanna see my photos and what i've been up to in my life and then basically ignore me.

  ive had this experience with a lot of jw's from my past.

  Not Sure What I Believe In Anymore

  inside my head is a tangled ball of wool when it comes to what i believe.

  i have days where i believe in a creator and other days when i don't.

  then there are times when i refer to this as believing in 'something' but what exactly this something is, i have no idea.

  Rip- I want to believe in God cuz well that would make me happy right? I'd live forever, go to heaven. get rewarded for all my good deeds....

  then I have the? but that doesn't add up there can't be a God that watches kids die, get raped.... we will just die like animals do, we just think we are special....

  I guess I just live life.... I can't change what may happen when I die. I can only make today the best I can.

  I Do Not Think Everyone That is a JW Wastes Their Life

  my 97 year old grandmother died last week.

  she was actually born and raised a jw.

  her mother (my great grandmother) was a russelite.

  I agree sounds like she had a good life with lots of love. I do think times have changed. The "older" jw's have a purer look at the "truth"
